A little story with this...

As it is Labor Day Weekend and we have our son here from the group home we decided to take a ride to the wonderful FingerLakes area here in New York.
We went to...
to do some shopping.

I tell you all this because the apple stamp I am using in this challenge came from a vendor in this market over 20 years ago!
She carved all her own stamps for many years, then stamped producing them in rubber.
Sadly she doesn't sell there any more but I thought it would be nice for this "apple" challenge to use one of her creations.

The base card is white linen card stock.
The main piece is also the white linen and I used the apple with Distress markers fired brick, barn door, brushed corduroy, peeled paint and scattered straw and the old "huff" technique where you color on the rubber image then huff and stamp.
The verse is from Unity Stamp Company's "apple cheddar soup" and stamped using StazOn timber brown ink.

  1. I enjoyed reading your commentary. I was born in the Finger Lakes Region. No place more beautiful in the fall! Your card is lovely. I especially like the texture. I have not yet entered a card into the challenge - still thinking...
