Still loving these seagulls...

Sketch Challenge 348 #mftstamps
and

I have this friend, another one, who seems to be having a rough time with life just now.
But I wanted him to know that I appreciate his "colors" which always make me smile.
The base card is white card stock.
The next layer covers the entire front of the card and is made of watercolor paper, sponged with Distress hickory smoke ink and spritzed with water then blotted.
The ocean is made with another piece of watercolor paper sponged with Distress inks mermaid lagoon and blueprint sketch, then spritzed, blotted and cut to fit (the little bit of white at the top is for the white caps that our lake is showing at the moment).
The verse is from MFT's "rainbow greeting" set, stamped onto white card stock, colored with Prisma pencils, cut in a strip with one end corner rounded and glued to the card front ocean.
The gulls from MFT's "seaside gulls" set were stamped on white card stock with StazOn jet black ink using post-it note masks.
They were colored with Prisma pencils and cut out with a self healing mat and my craft knife.
The gulls were applied with glue dots to the card front.
Per the sketch I applied the pink/white sequins and dotted the centers with "diamond" Stickles.
