So far out of my comfort zone...

...but a challenge is a challenge.

I found this pad of paper at JoAnn's a while back and because it was only $1.99 I bought it.
This card needed flowers and matching card stocks (at least that's what I thought!) so I pulled out the pad and found it went well.
I cut out the base card and applied the light teal ribbon as per the sketch.
On the inside I applied a piece of the brown textured card stock to cover most of the ribbon.
Next I cut a piece for the rectangle on the front as well as the piece behind it and taped them down.
The oval was die cut from another piece with a piece behind it and taped off set on the card front, then trimmed away.
To make the verse piece I found a part of the patterned paper that wasn't too dark and stamped the Tim Holtz verse from his "Phrases 2" set.
I cut that to a square with a background piece and taped it down.
To finish cut floers and swirls from the two patterned papers and glue dotted them to the front of the card.

  2. I agree! The sketch was hard wasn't it? But you totally nailed it. Love your take on the sketch. The colours are great and I love the sentiment. x

Thank you for joining our 'Sketch' challenge this week at Allsorts especially as it was so out of your Comfort zone. To be honest we have a few challenges that are totally out of my comfort zone too.
