I didn't think I had any balloons...

but I remembered a balloon punch by Marvy Uchida that I had saved from my scrapbooking days.

I started by punching a piece of text weight paper with the punch to make a stencil.
I cut a white linen card stock base card and a piece to go on top of it.
On that main piece, before it was glued on, I stenciled the balloons with my Tim Holtz mini ink blending tool and two colors of Distress ink, in this case picked raspberry and hickory smoke.
Using the Distress marker, hickory smoke, I hand drew the cords to the balloons.
Finally I stamped the verse from  Richard Garay's "Amazing You" set.
Once that was done I glue dotted the main piece to the base card.

  4. I love this lilac and grey colour scheme, and you've inked the balloons really well to leave such convincing highlights! Fab drawing of the balloon strings too. I think the bold sentiment goes perfectly with this design. Thanks so much for playing along with us at Less is More :)

  5. Loving those two colours together, great choices. And your blending of the balloons looks so realistic with the light catching them.
