My friend, lynda, gave me a wonderful gift for this Christmas, Lawn Fawn's "hugs" die.
Little did she know how perfect I would be for this challenge and my Granddaughter's birthday card...
My little grand-girl turns 2 tomorrow and loves her "creeyons" so for the additions to the front of the card I stamped two crayons from Lawn Fawn "Color My World" using Adirondack pitch black ink.
I then colored them using Chameleon pens to match the purple and yellow patterned papers I used on the white card stock base card.
*HINT: when you want to cut something out to match a layer you have for your card, cut it out of the layer first.
This doesn't waste another piece of your layer paper.
I cut the "hugs", my favorite thing with my granddaughter, out of the purple before layering it.
The top piece is a pre-embossed card stock, and I glue dotted on the crayons and word.
Can't wait for her to open her...mail!
I really love the embossing folder and this card has a great clean look even though it's going for a child -I love the way you did this! Well done! Thank you for joining us at TO and Merry Christmas! ps. please provide a link to our challenge! :)

ReplyDeleteThe links for all my cards placed into challenges are directly under the card! I just checked, in case it wasn't working, but it was!
You have a Merry Christmas as well!
I just love the way children talk, especially about their favourite things. Fab idea to include her 'creeyons' in her card and I love the simplicity of your design, especially the dimension with the dry embossing. So glad you shared this with us at TIME OUT!!
