Come into my parlor...

starting with a gate fold challenge and turned it into a Halloween/gate fold card!

and

I started with a black piece of card stock cut 8.5"x5.5".
I measured in 2-1/8" from each end and scored them then folded them to the front.

I took a purple brad and bent the prongs to one side and laid it about halfway on one side of the front of the card.

I cut 2 pieces of Halloween paper 2"x5.25" and glued them to the front of the card which secured the brad on the one side.

Taking a piece of black card stock and the filigree dies from a Sizzix set, I cut two of the filigree.
I placed one over the brad on the side it was connected and glued down the part that was on the card front.
Next I placed the other filigree over the brad and glued it to the other side, both times making sure the glue was not too close to the brad.

You can now ease the filigree over the brad on the one side to gate open the card.
But when it closes it lays flat.

I glued a piece of grey card stock in the center and stamped "Happy Halloween".
