Sizzix Tim Holtz Alterations "Fresh Brewed" die, again...
I have recently gotten into the Tag You're It! Challenges.
I don't usually do tags but I want to expand my horizons so here goes...
I wanted to make a gift tag and I though about how to make the tag look like a cup.
Using the Sizzix Tim Holtz Alterations "Fresh Brewed" die I did the following (I thought pictures might help)
Folding a small piece of white card stock in half I placed it on the die so the top of the cup cover would stay connected.
I also cut two of the cup bases out of white card stock.
I applied glue to the top of one of the cup pieces and glued it to the underside of one side of the folded cover piece.
Then holding the two bottom pieces together so they would match, I applied a thin line of glue to the other side of the top piece and glued it down.
I cut out a piece of kraft, pre-embossed card stock with the die and the sleeve part of the die.
I stamped the verse from Unity Stamp Company's "...bountiful owl" using Distress marker "gathered twigs" to only ink the pumpkin spice part of the stamp.
Once that was stamped I pulled out my smallest pumpkin from "Lil Pics" by Art Gone Wild and colored it in using Distress markers "peeled paint and rusty hinge" to stamp onto the sleeve piece.
To take some of the stark white off the tag I sponged Distress ink "gathered twigs" lightly over the front.
To finish the tag I punch in the corner with my 1/8" hole punch and drew some twine through.
