Interesting day today...

I went stamping with a group from my friend's church.
Came home thinking I wold stamp the rest of the day but sat in the living room with my hubby who is recovering from hand surgery.
I wanted to stamp, very much, but I felt that I needed to be with him more.

Tonight I hope to get a little stamping done before bed but if he wants me to watch TV again, I will.

I would normally choose another Penny Black stamp for the flower I like most to stamp with, but the poppy is my favorite actual flower.
I believe it's because of the poppy fields in England during WWII.
They are given out here every Memorial Day for a donation to the VFW.
Since my hubby is a Viet Nam vet and a disabled one at that I think that's the attraction to it.
I stamped the poppy from Penny Black's "blooming garden" with Adirondack black ink then colored it in with Chameleon pens.
The verse, from Just Rite "Fancy Tags" is stamped with the same ink.

Severe thunderstorm coming our way so I won't be posting again tonight!

  6. Poppies are certainly popular and this is simply stunning. Love how it's slightly 'off the edge' coloured to perfection and brilliantly CAS. Best wishes to your husband and thanks for playing with us at Less is More this week. Sarah
