Wednesday, July 6

This is the actual July 6 card...

I decided to join the
as well as the
by doing a card.

I started with my Tim Holtz bird stamps.
Picked one bird and Staz-on inked him to the front of some white linen card stock.
He needed color so using the palette from the Simon Says challenge I found my chalk pencils and made him come alive.

Then it was time for the background.
I'd forgotten how much I loved chalk on linen.
With the above utensils I scrapped chalk unto the card front
using my very expensive tool, my finger, to smear the color.

Not sure where the saying came from.
I stamped the rest of it "Blue Skies Ahead" on the inside of the card.

See you tomorrow for another color challenge!

  1. Love those birds! I like chalk too, however, I can't use it because of asthma. sigh! So decided to try watercolor. Now if I can just figure out how much water to use to get nice soft color. . .
