Well you know how I love coffee...

I had a friend over to stamp today and decided we should challenge each other with challenges from my blog.
The previous three posts were some of what I did.

This next one for:
set our minds to racing.

Well, hers anyway.
I just couldn't come up with a J that I wanted to try. She lifted up her coffee cup and inspiration jumped out at her...

JAVA

I was thrilled and thought we could both use it but she had other ideas for herself...so I stole Java.
After all I LOVE coffee.

I thought for sure I had at least one coffee stamp that said java. Nope not a single one.
My friend suggested a stencil. Would have been a great idea but I have no letter stencils.

Let me see...
 Scrabble letter stamps.
Perfect.
I found paper that looked like the finger protectors for around your cup. Great background.
Pull out my Tim Holtz stencil and add some coffee splotches.
Added some die cut coffee beans and I was done.

The wonderful friend who gave me the Java idea did a beautiful card using the word Jade.

The next Challenge was Magenta...

They are one of my Favorite companies. I have used their stamps for a very long time and gained inspiration from all their publications and products.

I love my Tim Holtz Distress markers. They do so much. I saw somewhere that the Antique Linen made a great shading around flowers, I tried it here.

I needed a thank you card for my friend at work.
This fit perfectly.

You must check out the gorgeous Magenta creation my friend, lynda did for the same challenge!

Enjoying my Penny Black stamps...

Trying to find a bunch of challenges to enter today.
I ran across:

Since I just bought a gorgeous Penny Black stamp I thought I'd play with some water coloring.

The background is the beautiful Anna Griffin folder that I have.
The rest is all Penny Black and the way the flower leached into the water color paper I thought the saying was perfect.

House Mouse Relaxing Challenge...

This was such an easy challenge, which I thought was appropriate for a Relaxing Challenge, HMFMC175.

This is where I found the challenge:

This is my favorite House Mouse stamp. I just want to cozy up with the fuzz ball and take a nap!

He was stamped on white cardstock and colored with my colored pencils. I love my Spellbinders, so I used them as a layering tool as well as a base card maker.

Relax and enjoy the rest of the summer.
