A quick way to get a lovely card is to emboss white card stock with a 3D embossing folder , this one from Simon Says Stamp, and then smear Distress Oxide over the opposite side.
Layer it on more card stock.
Die cut a sentiment, this one by Jillian Vance Designs, back it with more card stock and trim around then foam tape it to the card front.
