As I watched out my front window and the birds were trying to eat their seed with the wild winds blew up their feathers I was inspired to make this card with a new technique.
The base card is kraft card stock with a layer of black card stock.
The main panel is kraft card stock that I stamped with an image from Northwoods Rubber Stamps “Winter Mailboxes and Chickadees” with StazOn ink in my Tim Holtz stamping platform and left it there.
Next I painted the birds with Delta Ceramcoat oyster white acrylic paint and allowed it to dry completely.
To finish I stamped it again with the StazOn ink and then stamped the sentiment from the same set.
I can’t warm the little creatures up but I can provide food!

what a creative technique for painting and stamping your sweet chickadees, Arlene! I often wonder how all the tiny birds survive out in the cold! We feed them year round in our yard as well! Thanks for joining us at Inkspirational: Cold! Julia xx
