Friends of my hubby and I donated money in his name to our local cancer hospital.
I wanted a quick and simple card to send them a thank you.
On a white card stock base card I placed Waffle Flowers “Postage Collage Blocks Stencil” and a leaf stencil from The Rabbit Hole Designs and stenciled the leaves with Distress ink fossilized amber, spiced marmalade, peeled paint and fired brick.
I removed the leaf stencil I and used Distress weathered wood ink to apply the background.
To finsih i stamped the sentiment from Papertry Ink.
That is such a great effect, love your take on our one layer challenge. Thanks so much for sharing at Just Add Ink. Nikki-JAI design team.
ReplyDeleteA wonderful card, and no doubt there is quite a (heartbreaking) back story to this card... I have no doubt that the hospital would have appreciated the donation.

What a wonderful gesture from you and your husband, it deserves praise. You made such a beautiful card to go with it. The tiles remind me of looking out the window. You captured a beautiful autumn mood. Thanks for joining us on Just Add Ink this week. Sandra, guest designer #jai766
