I decided on a gate fold card for this challenge as I had this stamped background in my stash for over 10 years!!!
The base card is burgundy card stock folded into a gate fold the cream card stock one the gates and inside.
Next I cut down the background and applied it.
To finish I used dies from My Favorite Things “Coffee Cup” and a sentiment from MFT “Coffee Order” with the extra card stock and glued it to one side of the gate.
Wow! This stamped background is amazing, Arlene! After all these years, I'm glad you decided to use it for our challenge. The gate fold design works perfectly for this sketch. Thank you for sharing with The Paper Players this week!
ReplyDeleteYour background reminds me of a lace tablecloth - it's exquisite. A fabulous card

Arlene, you've just shown why one should hold onto those put aside stamped backgrounds. The one you used is gorgeous and a great way to add a bit of elegance to your coffee invite. Darling card! Thank you so much for joining in at the Paper Players!
ReplyDeleteArlene, that background is fabulous. The whole card reminds me of having a warm drink on a cool day in a traditional English tea room. Warm and cozy. I love that you did a gatefold for the sketch, too. So glad you shared this with us at the Paper Players this week
