hugs…

For many years I taught card making and rubber stamping (back when all we had was rubber stamps on wood).
I have worked in four stamping stores and taught as a visiting artist in the library system.
So for this challenge I wanted to go back to my teaching roots…

The base card for this challenge comes from a box of premade cards I purchased on clearance.
I have a die from Waffle Flower (Oversized Hugs Print Die), three mini Distress pads (villainous potion, spun sugar, picked raspberry) to match the challenge colors, black card stock and water color paper.
First I created the background by smooshing the ink pads on any teflon mat, rubber mat or Tonic Tim Holtz mat.
These I spritzed with water and created the background by patting it on the inks, drying it  and then patting again.
This I did a bunch of times.
I used the background die and cut in the center of the black card stock layer, then glued down the black card stock panel to the base card.
After trimming down the smooshed panel I used the sentiment die to cut this piece in a corner.
This I glued to the black card stock on the card front.
Next I glued the sentiment to the black card stock sentiment background the foam taped over the space where I cut out the sentiment.
Everything covered and no waste of extra card stock.
