These two colors are very dear to my heart.
They were the colors my Mom liked the most.
She had a beautiful taupe (kraft) suit and during the holidays she wore red blouses with it.
The base card is kraft card stock with a layer of white card stock.
The main panel is embossed red card stock with a white core that I sanded done to create the white outlined houses.
With more white and kraft card stocks and the dies from Simon Says Stamp “Cozy Wishes” I created the sentiment and foam taped it to the card front.
Now I want to dig through my stash to see if I kept any of my white core cardstock! I first thought these were drawn on. Very cool look. Thanks so much for starting out your new year with Color Hues!
ReplyDeleteI've not used white core cardstock; what an absolutely wonderful effect you've created with it. The houses are delightful; perfect background for your eye-catching sentiment. I love that your card was inspired by your mom; I can imagine how lovely she was in her taupe suit, especially when paired with a red blouse.
