storms at sea…


There is a story behind this card.
I live very close to Lake Ontario in New York state.
While I was still working I would drive along the lake to get to work.
In the Summer I would see many sail boats in a class at the edge of the lake.
This card reminds me of the day they were all trying desperately to get into shore before the storm came down!
The base card is grey card stock with a layer of brown card stock.
The main panel is water color paper.
To create the scene I used Art Impressions “WCS21Sailboat” and “”WC Cloudline” with Distress inks, both markers and pads antique linen, vintage photo, walnut stain, mermaid lagoon, stormy sky and hickory smoke.
I chose not to put a sentiment on the front as I liked the design without it.
