The colors in this card will certainly express my other hobby.
Not only do I make quilts, antique patterns only, but I also collect antique sewing machines and paraphernalia.
For this card I used cream linen card stock and embossed the lower half with a We R Memory Keepers quilt embossing folder.
Using many of my antique sewing images and a sentiment (all unknown companies) I stamped them with MFT Stamps chocolate brown hybrid ink.
I have shown you my “other” hobby...can’t wait to see what you all do when you’re not stamping!
Well I guessed your other hobby was sewing, but I didn't realise you collected vintage paraphernalia and quilts. The colours of your card and embossed panel make perfect sense now I've read your post.

Beautiful card!
ReplyDeleteterrific card to "mass" create and send to sewers you know or a bundle as a gift
ReplyDeleteOh Arlene what a fabulous card - the quilted texture and the vintage images stamped on the diagonal and in the brown are stunning!! My other hobbies are bobbin lace making, embroidery, crochet, but at the moment I am preparing to move, which includes a massive downsizing exercise, as well as helping to repair/renovate the bathroom area, and I have to preach this coming Sunday - life is busy!!

Absolutely fabulous card. I love the quilled texture on the card panel.
ReplyDeleteLove the vintage feel to this card - and it's so fun to read that you also collect antique machines - it must be fun hunting down those old machines! I saw a very old Singer in a charity shop window the other day and it was snapped up very quickly by a collector!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card Arlene and great hobby!
