seeing something different...

One of the best things I learned from my art classes in school was to look for the “design” on the art work.
I find that interesting in the sketch challenges I do.
Everyone has such wonderful ideas on what the interpretation of the sketch should be.
You might wonder why i didn’t do a circle and add the chick and sentiment.
I saw the rainbow curve as my circle!
The card is white card stock with the Stamping Bella  “Irish Chicks” image stamped with Memento tuxedo black ink and colored with Copic markers.
I made a mask to cover the chick and stamped the rainbow from the same set with the same ink and colored it with Copic markers.
Now I’m about to be honest here...I stamped the sentiment with the Memento ink first and is was crooked.
So I pulled out my white embossing powder, Versamark ink pad and black card stock to make the sentiment, from the same set, that you see on the card.
This was foam squared onto the card.

  1. what a wonderful result Arlene, and I love the way you used the sketch! Yes I have had a couple of wonky sentiments of late and have had to do 'cover-ups' too :)
