pastel birthday...

and

To me nothing is more pastel than using watercolors...with lots of water!
The base card is white card stock with a layer of pale green card stock run though the BigKick with a Cuttlebug embossing folder.
The main piece is water color paper that I stamped the image from Hero Arts/Gina K. Designs “Friendship Blooms” set using Versamark ink and heat embossing with clear embossing powder.
To color the image I use lots of water and Arteza water colors.
When dry I ran it through my laminator to smooth it out and pull off some of the embossing.
This I applied to a piece of black card stock and attached the whole thing to the card front.
On a strip of black card stock i stamped the sentiment from MFT Stamps “Bitty Birthday Wishes” with Versamark ink and heat embossed it with white embossing powder.
This I attached to the card front.

  3. Fabulous card Arlene - love the very soft water-colours you achieved and the wonderful mounting you have used. the embossed panel adds so much, with detracting from the image
