This challenge made it easy to pick complimentary colors by giving us this...
Since goldfish are actually more orange and they swim in water which is blue this was an easy choice.
The base card is white card stock that I die cut with
MFT Die-namics “Stitched Snow Drifts” on the card front and trimming a bit off the bottom.
On a piece of watercolor paper I colored the “water “ with Mungyo aquarelle oil pastel.
Once dry I taped it inside the front of the card .
On another piece of the water color paper I stamped the fish from MFT Stamps “Beach Buds” with StazOn jet black ink and colored it with the aquarelle crayons.
Once dry I trimmed out the fish and applied it to the card front with glue dots.
To finish I stamped the sentiment from the same set with the StazOn.
This is adorable and I think this goldfish will be honored to go to school with your granddaughter, Arlene! He looks very happy! Thanks so much for sharing this with us at CAS Watercolour!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fabulous card Arlene - love the look on the goldfish, and the texture in the blue panel makes it look like currents, eddies and shadows in the water.
