DIL birthday...

My daughter-in-law’s birthday is two days before mine!
This year she has gone through the loss of two beloved pets and I thought a little something personal would be helpful.
She also is an accomplished seamstress so the buttons in this challenge were perfect.
With black glossy card stock and Newton’s Nook “Fancy Edges Tag Die” I die cut two tags.
Toward the top of the front tag I scored to allow it to open easier then taped it together with 1/8” double sided tape.
I cut a piece of light grey card stock, as that was what was in the threads, and stamped it with a sentiment from Stampin’ Up’s “Yipee-Skipee!” Set using Gina K amalgam ink.
From more of the black glossy card stock and a copper piece from DCWV Metallics Mat Stack I punched out the buttons using Martha Stewarts button punch.
These I applied with glue dots.
The threads are so old i don’t remember the company but I tied them around the box and onto the tag.

  1. Oh Arlene what a wonderful gift box and tag - and so very personalised. Love those fabulous buttons.
