and
One of these days I am going to go absolutely crazy and use every color on one of these challenges...not today!
I chose gold rush, smoothie and peach as they were the colors in the patterned paper I had from “love nicole autumn splendor”.
The base card is white card stock.
To get the main piece I die cut the patterned paper, gold card stock and dark pink card stock with Taylored Expressions “Shade Tree Cutting Plate”.
In order to get that “inlaid” effect I cut a piece of double back film and applied the frame with tree piece.
Next, like a jig saw puzzle, I applied the dark pink and gold pieces.
This I applied to the dark pink piece before applying it to the base card.
To finish I die cut the “hello” from “love nicole” using the gold card stock and glued it to the card front.
I love the tree die! This card gives me all the Fall feels.
ReplyDeleteI love how the tree fits within the surrounding layers -t his is definitely something I want to try! Very pretty card with all the detail on the tree.

ReplyDeleteBeautiful card! I love the pattern on the tree die cut and how the solid colors accent it.
ReplyDeleteThese colors and die just look so yummy...great use of that design paper for the die.
ReplyDeleteI love the inlaid die cutting technique, and this is a wonderful example Arlene. Your colours are stunning too.

Beautiful card, it puts me in the mood for AUTUMN (my favorite time of year)!
ReplyDeleteGreat technique, Arlene! I also enjoy making inlay designs but haven't done it for a while. Thanks for the inspiration!
ReplyDeleteLove all the dies you've used for the card. Very nice Autumn card (Fall in the US, Australia calls it Autumn).
