When I came across this challenge the rainbow stuck out to me.
Three days ago I read that Clearsnap/ Colorbox was closing, which made me go dig out my old ink pads for another go at DTP (direct to paper).
The only color I had in their chalk cats eye pads were Autumn tones but why not use them?
The base card is black card stock with a layer of brown card stock.
The main piece is a rainbow made of the Colorbox Cat’s Eye Chalk pads on white card stock.
On another piece of white card stock I smooshed some of the pads allowed them to dry and die cut the leaves from Paper Smooches “Seasonal Tree”.
Using more brown card stock I die cut the tree from the same die set.
With black card stock I cut the crows (birds) from the same set and dotted their eyes with a white gel pen.
The sentiment (which I thought went well with the school theme) from Paper Smooches “Hooties” I stamped with StazOn jet black ink.
To finish I glued on the tree then glue dotted the leaves and birds for a bit of dimension.
Loving this dimensional tree Arlene, and how you have added colour to both the background, then made matching 'paper' for the leaves
