and
Instead of using card stock squares I decided to stencil...as I’m in a stenciling mood!
I chose a piece of vellum, so I could see through it for placement, and cut it with a die from MFT Die-namics “Inside & Out Stitched Square STAX”.
Saving the center piece I used the outer piece with MFT Mix-ables “Make Waves” stencil to apply the first square.
(These were done with sponging Distress tumbled glass ink)
Next I covered the first square with the inside I had die cut, taped it down and placed the outside stencil as per the sketch.
(This was done with sponging Distress broken china ink)
On another piece of white card stock I stamped the gull from MFT Stamps “Seaside Gulls” with MFT steel grey hybrid ink and colored with Faber Castell Polychromos.
After cutting it it with the coordinating die I applied it with foam dots.
To finish I used a verse from the same stamped with the steel grey ink.
Love your stencilling Arlene - a great take on the sketch and a beautiful card.
