Isn’t it great to use sketches for your cards?
I just missed placing this in the MFT Sketch Challenge but it was perfect for the Birthday Challenge especially since my favorite drink is coffee.
The base card is white card stock.
The “sea” layer was made by sponging Distress salty ocean ink over a piece of white card stock with the MFT Mix-ables “Make Waves” stencil.
Once dry I corner rounded the corners with the purple EK Success corner rounder and trimmed out the center to match the sketch before applying it to the card front.
On another piece of white card stock I stamped three of the gulls from MFT Stamps “Seaside Seagulls” with Gina K amalgam ink.
Next I drew the handles free hand with a Pigma Micron 02 pen and colored them with Arteza real brush pens.
Once I trimmed them out I applied them to the card front as per the sketch.
Using two verse from MFT’s “Clearly Sentimental About Coffee” and “Seaside Seagulls” I masked off the parts I didn’t want and stamped it with the Gina K ink.
On the inside I will stamp a Happy Birthday from one of my other MFT sets!
Such a fun sentiment and matching image! CUTE card!
