It may seem odd that I chose to do a salt watercolor leaf in January but I am dying to get cards done for my shut ins through the year.
This will be my September card.
The card is kraft card stock that I stamped with a verse from Stampin’ Up’s “Lighthearted Leaves”.
The leaf was made by soaking water color paper and then adding Distress inks in orange shades.
While it was still very wet I sprinkled coarse ground sea salt and plowed it to dry thoroughly.
Once dry I die cut the leaf from Sizzix Tim Holtz “Fall Foliage” set and glued it to the card front.
A beautiful card, love the colour of the card stock against the vibrant autumn orange, thank you for joining in at BBB
ReplyDeleteWhat an elegant and stately card Arlene - love the leaf, and the way it is mottled so echoes nature
