When I read a book I have a tendency to visualize what the characters are doing.
In this case the book this little girl is reading is “Water Sings Blue” by Kate Coombs.
The base card is white card stock with a layer of black card stock.
The “ocean” piece is made by smooshing Distress inks on my Tim Holtz glass media mat, spritzing it with water and laying the card stock on it..
Then I dried it with my heat tool and sponged the waves (MFT Mix-ables “Make Waves” stencil) using Distress inks.
On another piece of white cardstock I stamped the girl (Santoro “No. 2 New Heights”) with StazOn jet black ink and colored her with Prisma pencils then cut her out with my craft knife.
On another piece of black card stock I stamped the verse from MFT Stamps “Our Story” Using Versamark ink and embossed it with white embossing powder.
To finish I applied everything to the card front.
Adorable card!!! I love it!!! Thanks so much for participating in our {PIN}SPIRATIONAL challenge. Hope you participate in our next challenge!! Have a happy crafty day!!!
