As Followers of my blog will know my youngest is a Halloween and gore fan, not my taste but I try and make him cards for his.
This is such a card.
The base card is black card stock that I stenciled skulls from Tim Holtz “MM12” stamp/stencil set, using Colorbox frost white ink.
Using a piece of white card stock I ripped along the edge to go on the top of the card front.
Next I stamped the images, both from the same Tim Holtz set, using StazOn jet black ink and my Tim Holtz platform.
Back to stenciling with the other end of the stencil that comes with the set, blood splatters, using Distress candied apple ink.
I added some color around the man image with Distress markers and finished with sponging Distress black soot ink over the white piece before attaching it to the card front.
Yay for Halloween! I'm a huge fan myself and just love this bloody card! Thank you for joining us at Watercooler Wednesday with this thriller! Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteWhether you're a blood and gore fan or not, you certainly have mastered the look. Your youngest must treasure your creations. Love the way you've kept this to just the three colours. The red really jumps out from the black and white. Great card! Thanks so much for joining our Watercooler Wednesday Challenge this week.
