So I came home from grocery shopping...

...and walked to the mailbox with my granddaughter and found a box.
Once I was able to get it away from her I opened it to find a Penny Black "Ode to Christmas" stamp in it from a friend I used to work with at the library who moved to Michigan!
My rule is if I get a gift of something to stamp with I must make a thank you card with it...

I love chickadees as we have many on our property so it was easy to create this card.
The base card is cream linen card stock with two opposite corners rounded.
USing my Distress markers I colored directly to the stamp and used the huff method to apply it to the front of the card.
I used the same method to apply the "thanks", unknown company, to the front of the card.
To finish I used my JudiKins color duster and Distress ground espresso ink to shade around the image.
