I just love these homemade stamps...

and

I started by making a stamp.
I used a leaf from the MFT Die-namics "Fall Leaves", craft foam and my Bigkick to cut the image.
I then applied it to a plastic square with double back tape to make the stamp.
The base card is made of cream colored card stock and I taped it to a scrap pad with painter's tape.
Now I stamped the leaf several times to cover the right side of the card front using Adirondack inks eggplant, slate and latte.
I took another piece of cream card stock and smeared, there's that technical term again, the eggplant ink onto it.
For a smoother look I immediately rubbed my sponge over the wet ink.
I ran this piece through the Bigkick with "happy birthday" from my Tim Holtz Sizzix "Celebration Words" set.
I removed the painter's tape, very carefully, and applied the "happy birthday" with glue.
