A new challenge, a new technique (to me) and a comparison...

This will be an interesting post as I forgot it was a new month and I remembered my New Year's resolution to try and new technique every month.
I went to YouTube and typed in kraft paper as that was the last thing I had worked with.
many things came up but this one intrigued me as I never did water color on kraft paper before.

As I listened to the video I realized I had two options for the paints... Artist Loft pearlescent watercolor or Angelwings, I believe they are out of business, pearlescent watercolor.
I tried both.

I started with two kraft card stock cards and did the white embossing with Versamark ink and a verse and image from Unity Stamp Co. "...succulent salutations" set.

On to the painting...

This was the card made with the Angelwings pearlescent paints...

This is the card I made with the Artist's Loft paints...

What do you think?

The only thing I noted was the depth of color was heavier with the Angelwings set.
But the fun part was trying a new technique and pulling out things that I all ready had to make it!
