Sharing the fun...

of rubber stamping with my future daughter-in-law .
While shopping at an garage sale my hubby found three sets of Stampin' Up stamps for $2.00 a piece. His understanding is that if they are that cheap, even though I might have them, he should snatch them up!
I didn't have two of the sets but this one called Shapes & Shadows I had!
But Becky did not as she is just starting out. I decided to stop by and drop them off on my way home from work Friday. Becky thanked me and I told her not to buy any ink pads until I could check at home for her and that gave me a great idea.
All day Sunday I would go through my stamp pads and decide if I could part with any of them.
I found my Memories shadow inks, some were good but some had bit the dust. I then took card stock and other items and made up some sample cards that she can use the inks with!
So I have them and their re-inkers all packed and ready to go.
What a joy to bring someone else into the stamping fold!!!
Samples also show that if you don't have the color in card stock to match your ink, just rub the ink over the card stock.
Now when shopping I will also look for deals on pearls and ribbon so she can copy the cards exactly, if she wants, or use the supplies for any card making she wants to create!
I all ready went through my papers and shared... do you have someone you can bring into the fold???
A stamp you no longer use but with an ink pads, some card stock and papers would make a great kit to start someone off!
 Think about it!!!
Happy Canada Day to my Canadian friends
and
Happy Fourth to the US contingent!!!!
