End of Summer ...Autumn Breezes In

As you can tell by the colors I use for my blog I LOVE AUTUMN!!!
As a salute to summer ending I made the above card. The background paper is patterned paper. I punched the sunflower onto the cream square. Using a round punch a bit larger than the center of the flower I punched into yellow card stock, then cut a square a little smaller than the cream square and glued to the back of the cream square. I attached the square to the back with foam tape then added an embossed and cut out bee!
My salute to Autumn is in my card below. Using my Adirondack ink pads (my favorite for their earthy colors), I stamped using a Hero Arts rectangle shadow stamp. Make sure you ink up the stamp then stamp once on a piece of scrap paper before stamping onto the card. With Hero Arts leaves and Espresso ink I stamped randomly over the shadow images. So the card stock for the background behind the saying matched my shadow I rubbed the edges on the stamp pad. I have recently found the Tim Holtz blending tools and would use them instead to get a softer look.
Happy Autumn, my favorite time of year!!!
