Sewing easy with a new tool!!!

Went to visit the Mom's yesterday and stopped at Buffalo Stamps & Stuff on Sheridan Drive. Believe it or not, Harold found a new toy for me. It's called "Sew Easy Stitch Piercer" by We R Memory Keepers. Instead of having to pierce your paper one poke at a time, it's a wheel that pokes multiples for stitching with floss, etc. On my sample card I used the pink head and the blue head, rolling over my card stock which was on crafter's foam. To stitch I used Scrapper's floss and the large eye needle provided with the handle.
Hope you try this soon. It's really fun!!!

Spinning your inks can be fun!!!

Remember your Spin Art machine from "years" ago. You may want to drag it out again!!!
The above card was made by cutting a piece of glossy card stock to fit the Spin Art and start the machine. Slowly drop permanent dye re-inkers, you can stop the machine occasionally to check your progress.
It drys almost instantly so when you remove it from the machine you can stamp your image, try one with a lot of open space, right away with black Staz-on.
Trim and attach to your card as desired!!!

New Pencil/Cuttlebug Embossing Folder Technique

I went shopping at my local OfficeMax this past week and found Crayola Color Sticks. They are colored pencils without the wood and very thick. I bought them with the glimmer of an idea to use them with my Cuttlebug embossing folders.

Place your card stock in the folder and emboss. Open the folder, leaving the card stock on one side with the side you want to color on top. Gently rub the side of the colored pencil over the embossed image. (NOTE that you have the folder beneath to stabilize the image while coloring!)
You now have a great background. Below is the piece I cut that allowed me to use it for two cards.

More cards are shown in my Flickr Photostream.
Once I started I couldn't stop!
I hope you won't stop creating either!
